Road Traffic Time-Series Measurements of Flow and Occupancy from 10,150 Loop Detectors in 25 Cities

This road traffic data set consists of multiple time-series of flow-occupancy measurement pairs obtained by 10,150 loop detectors in 25 cities. In total there are 168,183,675 flow-occupancy measurement pairs in the data set, of which 147,034,646 measurement pairs are good (i.e. not flagged as errors). Each measurement pair corresponds to a time interval that is typically of 3 or 5 minutes in duration. The time-series data were obtained mainly from the period 2015 to 2018, with some data obtained in 2008. The time-span of each series depends on the city where the data were obtained, and varies from 6 to 372 days. Each time-series (i.e. each loop detector) has at least 900 good flow-occupancy measurement pairs. The data set also includes information on the loop detectors and the roads on which they are located, the majority of which are interrupted flow facilities (i.e. roads with intersections). Note that the flow-occupancy measurement pairs from a single loop detector form an empirical fundamental diagram.

本道路交通数据集包含25座城市中10150个环形线圈检测器（loop detector）采集得到的多组流量-占有率测量对（flow-occupancy measurement pairs）时序数据。数据集总计包含168183675组流量-占有率测量对，其中147034646组为有效测量对（即未标记为错误的样本）。每组测量对对应一个时长通常为3分钟或5分钟的时间间隔。该时序数据的采集时段主要集中于2015年至2018年，另有部分数据采集自2008年。每条时序数据的时长取决于其采集所在城市，范围为6天至372天不等。每条时序数据（即对应单个环形线圈检测器）至少包含900组有效流量-占有率测量对。本数据集还包含环形线圈检测器及其布设道路的相关信息，其中绝大多数道路属于间断流交通设施（interrupted flow facilities，即带有交叉口的道路）。需注意，单个环形线圈检测器采集的流量-占有率测量对可构成经验型交通流基本图（empirical fundamental diagram）。
