资源简介:
This collection consists of images and text from a buildings survey by Oxford Archaeology (South) of The Flint House, Cliveden, Taplow, Buckinghamshire, in July 2017. The Flint House is a small, circular grotto-type structure which appears to have been constructed in the third quarter of the 19th century as part of wider works to create a naturalistic designed landscape in the Rushy Valley to east of the mansion. The structure is constructed from flint and it is likely that it was built to provide a simple shelter on walks through the woodland and also to provide a platform above where views could be enjoyed looking west towards the Octagon Temple.
