Human milk microbiota in clinical and subclinical mastitis

This study aimed to assess the applicability of somatic cell counting in lactating women for the diagnosis of mastitis using a standard cut-off. The study also evaluated the milk microbiota using 16S rRNA sequencing of recruited participants, as well as interleukin-8 levels.
