Standard errors were calculated using profile likelihood estimation. To aid estimate comparisons, models with (a) and without (b) the transient parameter (time since first capture) are grouped. Time-specific adult survival rates (S) are presented for transients and residents, and survival estimates for time constant models are listed in the first time-specific row. Parameters include apparent survival (φ), model averaged estimates of adult survival rates (S) between primary periods, and temporary emigration: Conditional probability of an animal not being available for capture if it was available during the previous primary period (ϒ’’) or not available (ϒ’).
