资源简介:
Here we present the source quantitative data was the basis for the analysis of seed content of 142 regurgitated pellets of the nestlings of white stork in relation to their diet and landscape structure in 1 km radius around the nests. Pellets were collected from 52 nests located in 32 villages of south-western Poland in June and July 2012. Our initial hypothesis was that white stork nests have potential to lower the level of isolation of plant populations in intensively used agricultural landscapes by seed deposition in the nest material. This is particularly important for plant species whose seeds are devoid of dispersal adaptations, especially for long-distance dispersal. In the article we identified the most important factors responsible for the high abundance of beneficiary ecological plant groups among variables from two categories: nestling diet characteristics and land cover types in the closest vicinity of the nest.
