Public trust and confidence in Australian charities 2013

Results from the quantitative phase of research into public trust and confidence in Australian charities conducted on behalf of the ACNC by ChantLink in 2013.\r\n\r\nThe first object of the ACNC Act is 'to maintain, protect and enhance public trust and confidence in the Australian not-for-profit sector. This survey of public attitudes collected information about current levels of trust and factors that affect levels of trust in charities. It also collected information about awareness of and support for a national regulator of charities and interest in a public register of charities The survey was conducted online between 22 and 29 April 2013 and obtained 1624 complete responses (including a pilot phase of 60 responses).\r\n\r\nThe full report on the research, which included focus groups as well as the online survey, is available from the ACNC's website http://acnc.gov.au/ACNC/Pblctns/Rpts/PublicTrust/ACNC/Publications/Reports/Trust_con.aspx
