Viral respiratory diseases (including influenza and COVID-19) in Scotland surveillance report

Between April and October 2024, Public Health Scotland (PHS) will be providing a narrative report once a month, while continuing to update the interactive dashboard, currently on a weekly basis at 9.30am every Thursday. Dashboard updates will also move to once a month after week 20 (16 May 2024). The next narrative report will be on 16 May. This approach aligns to the pre-pandemic one for respiratory pathogens, which typically follow a seasonal pattern. PHS will continue to monitor COVID-19 and other respiratory infection levels and reinstate the weekly narrative report before September 2024 if necessary.
