Training and occupation possibilities from the view of young women.
Questions on raising children, marriage, partnership and family.

First follow-up survey after ca. two years.

Topics: employment; hours worked each week; perceived work stress;
intent to give up employment; occupational prospects of promotion;
employment for financial reasons; information on training and about
activity exercised since school or conclusion of training; reasons for
change of job; belonging to an professional group; times of unemployment;
attitude to household, family and occupation (scale); number of children;
detailed information about all children; managing child care; perceived
stress from children; probability of another child; significant things of
life (scale); date of birth; date of marriage; date of divorce; time of
first marriage; length of first marriage; living together with a
partner; division of decision-making authority in marriage or
partnership; assumed significant things of life for partner (scale);
desired number of children; relief from partner in child care and in
the household; attitude to children (scale); frequency of contact with
relatives, neighbors and friends; help received in the household from
these persons; social origins; employment of mother during childhood of
respondent; attitude to employment of mother; number of siblings;
earlier place of residence and place of residence during childhood;
attitude to childhood memories; judgement on one´s own education; year
of birth of parents; living together with parents or parents-in-law;
perceived stress from work in the household; attitude to family and
partnership (scale), employment, time worked each week and shift work
of spouse; assumed attitude of partner to marriage, family and children
(scale); solidarity of respondent as well as of partner with the
church; school degree of respondent and of her partner; number of rooms
and living space in square meters; residential status; owner or primary
renter of the house or apartment; amount of rent; the one who pays the
rent; length of time in residence; frequency of moving; significance of
a further child (scale); willingness to participate in further surveys;
consent with storing address for purposes of re-interview.

The following questions were posed for the respondents to fill out:
judgement on current financial situation and expected future
developments; income; current pregnancy; use of contraceptives;
miscarriages and abortions; death of children; sterility; conversations
with partner about contraceptives; judgement on partnership (scale);
changes in partnership; assumed judgement on partnership from point of
view of partner (scale).

The following additional questions were posed to some of the spouses
or partners of the respondents: judgement on partnership (scale);
assumed judgement on partnership from point of view of partner (scale);
significant things and goals in life in one´s own view and from point
of view of partner (scale); income; desired number of children; share
of work in the household; attitude to household, family, children and
occupation (scale); date of birth; number of siblings.

Interviewer rating: presence of third persons during interview;
intervention of these persons in the course of the interview;
reliability and willingness of respondent to cooperate; length of
interview; date of interview.
