Social Media Discourse Dataset: Framing of Regional Head Presence at Indonesian Protests, August–September 2025 (Dedi Mulyadi & Sri Sultan HB X)

This dataset contains social media content (n = 7,905) collected via Intelligence Socio Analytic (ISA) from six platforms (TikTok, Twitter/X, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Threads), referencing two Indonesian regional heads — Dedi Mulyadi (Governor of West Java, n = 4,393) and Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X (Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, n = 3,512) — during the August–September 2025 demonstration period. Data include content text, framing category (issue/leader/hybrid), sentiment, dominant emotion (Plutchik's eight-emotion framework), platform, content type, engagement metrics, and available demographic attributes. User account names have been replaced with generic descriptions to protect privacy. This dataset supports the study "Protest Framing Shift on Social Media: Comparing Populist and Cultural Leadership Responses in Indonesia," submitted to F1000Research.
