A total number of 19440 generations are simulated through a brute-force approach using Grasshopper and Ladybug-tools to analyze their impact on indoor thermal comfort, energy performance, and utility costs. The main inputs are: (1) building locations to represent the climatic variations, (2) courtyard geometrical dimensions including width, length, height, openness ratio, aspect ratio, and WWR, (3) envelope including windows and external wall thermal properties, (4) mechanical ventilation strategy representing heating/cooling set-point range as dead-band. The main outputs are: (1) Indoor thermal comfort using average summer/winter PMV/PPD/SET values (2) Energy Load in kWh (heating and cooling) (3) Utility costs due to electricity and fuel consumptions
