This series consists of working papers and copies of minutes and agenda from the Sydney Opera House Trust Public Affairs House and Marketing Committee. This committee replaced the existing Public Relations and Amenities Committee in February 1985.The role of the committee was to consider and report to the Trust on ways of maintaining and improving the public image of the Sydney Opera House, to recommend policies regarding the preparation and distribution of publications including the annual report, to investigate and report on amenities and any modifications, furnishings and decorations needed in public areas, to analyse and evaluate levels of custom at restaurants and bars, to formulate marketing strategies, to identify and liaise with sponsors and to review safety for all persons in the Opera House.The working papers include correspondence, financial papers, reports and submissions that relate to and support the items discussed at each meeting. Copies of minutes and agenda from the meetings accompany the working papers. The minutes give the date, time and place of the meeting, list who from the committee was present and outline the business arising for that meeting and document any decisions made by the committee.
