Biofuels in the transport sector in Austria 2008
收藏资源简介:
Since 1 October 2005, companies selling petrol or diesel fuels in Austria have had to replace 2.5% (measured in terms of energy content) of these fuels with biofuels in accordance with the Austrian Fuel Ordinance. The share increased to 4.3% on 1 October 2007, and the substitution target for the 2007 calendar year was 2.95%. In 2007, 370,046 tonnes of biodiesel were used, of which 298,828 tonnes were used as an admixture to fossil fuels, 71,218 tonnes as pure biofuel or as diesel fuel with a share of more than five percent biofuel by volume, and just under 18,000 tonnes of vegetable oil. A total of 20,400 tonnes of bioethanol, mainly mixed, were sold for the first time in the fourth quarter of 2007. In 2007, biofuels accounted for 4.23% of all fuels sold, up from 4.85% in the last quarter. Austria thus fulfils its obligations under the EU Biofuels Directive. ISBN
