Freedom of Information Requests - 2014

The Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) gives individuals the right to ask for access to municipal government information. The Act also protects the privacy of individual's personal information and gives them the right to request their own personal information that may exist in government records. This data set consists of all formal Freedom of Information requests made to the Region of Waterloo under MFIPPA. Identifying information such as names and addresses have been removed from the data to protect personal identification. A notification such as {name removed} has been indicated where information was removed.《市政信息自由与隐私保护法》（Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, MFIPPA）赋予个人向市政政务部门申请调取相关政务信息的法定权利。该法案不仅保障个人隐私信息的安全性，同时赋予个人申请调取其本人留存于政府档案中的个人信息的权利。本数据集包含所有依据MFIPPA向滑铁卢地区提交的正式信息自由申请文件。为保护个人身份不被泄露，数据中已移除姓名、住址等可识别个人身份的敏感信息。若存在信息被移除的情况，会标注如「{姓名已移除}」的提示信息。
