Columns 1–2 show pairs of prokaryotes in different genera whose estimated ANI (column 3) is higher than 95%. These are very likely misclassified as being in different genera. As expected, all species pairs within Escherichia and Shigella (represented in the last row) have estimated ANI above this threshold, as they were classified to different genera for medical relevance.
