Sepsis-induced liver injury markedly increases mortality, but current therapies fail to target liver damage specifically. Hydrogen sulfide, a gaseous signaling molecule with protective properties in multiple systems, has been rarely investigated in this context, while macrophage polarization and TLR4 NF kappaB signaling played crucial roles in the pathology. This research aimed to determine whether H2S relieved sepsis-induced liver injury by regulating macrophage polarization using a mouse model and transcriptomic analysis.
