By introducing two test models of wild-type zebrafish (Danio rerio) and ahr2 gene knockout zebrafish line, this study aims to (1) comparatively investigate the role and weight of the AhR-mediated pathway(s) in embryotic toxic effects induced by the nine DLCs, (2) screen and identify the most sensitive biological pathways differentially perturbed by environmental-relevant DLC exposure in zebrafish embryos, and (3) probe the connection of the early life stage bioactivity of the nine DLCs with their structural characteristics, prioritize key functional groups and/or substituents relevant to the identified molecular responses.
