Reference communal boundaries of Rennes Métropole (polygons)

It is one of the two reference layers of the municipal boundaries of Rennes Métropole. This polygon layer is derived from the cadastral layer of communal boundaries (version 2013). In areas where the cadastral plane had geometric problems (overlaying plots, holes, etc.), it was corrected by topological treatments focusing on one of the two possible limits. This particularity concerns only the communes of Rennes Métropole but the hold of the layer concerns the peripheral municipalities which they have not undergone this specific treatment. The municipalities are informed by their Insee code and their postal code (several on the commune of Rennes). The layer was updated in 2022 in connection with the launch of the Single Cadastral Parcellar Representation.
