earthquakes are archived at the Southern California Earthquake Center
(SCEC). Descriptions of these data sets are available on line via the
World Wide Web at:

The following portable instrument data set description was extracted
from the Southern California Earthquake Center Data Center WWW page:
Following the June 28th, 1992 Landers and Big Bear
Earthquakes, the SCEC institutions consisting of the California
Institute of Technology, San Diego State University, the University
of California at Santa Barbara, the University of California at San
Diego, and the University of Southern California collaborated in
deploying and maintaining the ... portable instrument array.
Portable instrument data for 2345 aftershocks, recorded at 5 or
more of these stations, and associated with events recorded by the
SCSN, has been archived for the following time periods.
June 30, 1992 - July 25, 1992
July 31, 1992
August 4, 1992 - August 18, 1992
Data are also available for the Landers Earthquake, June 28, 1992.
