This article explores innovative teaching technologies aimed at developing writing competence among university students studying English as a Foreign Language. In the context of rapid digital transformation and global academic integration, writing competence has become a core component of communicative and academic success. The study examines the pedagogical potential of digital platforms, artificial intelligence tools, collaborative online environments, and blended learning models in enhancing students’ academic writing skills. The research is grounded in communicative language teaching theory, constructivist pedagogy, and process-oriented writing approaches. The findings suggest that technology-enhanced instruction fosters learner autonomy, improves coherence and critical thinking, and increases motivation in academic writing tasks. The article concludes that the integration of innovative teaching technologies into higher education curricula significantly contributes to the development of sustainable writing competence in EFL contexts.
