Untitled IteRhomboid Intercostal and Subserratus Plane Block versus Paravertebral Block for Thoracic Herpes Zoster: A Randomized comparative Trialm

We conducted a prospective, randomized, comparative, double-blind clinical trial involving 30 patients (15 in each group) with thoracic PHN unresponsive to medication. Patients received either RISS or PVB block under ultrasound guidance. Pain intensity, daily activities, depression scores and Gabapentin dosage were evaluated at baseline, day 1, 7, 30, and 90. The primary outcome was pain intensity measured using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). Secondary outcomes included the Zoster Brief Pain Inventory (ZBPI) and gabapentin dosage.
