This dataset supports the research article "Linking Sustainability Efficiency and Green Technology Adoption: Evidence from Malaysian Rice Farming using a DEA–Logistic Framework." The study investigates whether farmers' sustainability efficiency is associated with the adoption of green technologies in Malaysian rice farming. The study is based on the hypothesis that farmers with higher sustainability efficiency, reflecting superior management of economic, environmental, and social resources, are more likely to adopt green technologies than less efficient farmers. Unlike previous studies that primarily examine the impact of technology adoption on farm performance, this research evaluates whether multidimensional sustainability performance itself is associated with farmers' technology adoption behaviour. Primary data were collected through structured face-to-face interviews with 457 rice farmers located in the Integrated Agricultural Development Area (IADA) Barat Laut Selangor, Malaysia. The sample comprises both green technology adopters (n = 205) and conventional farmers (n = 252). The questionnaire collected information on farmers' socioeconomic characteristics, farm management practices, institutional support, production inputs, outputs, and environmental indicators. This dataset may be reused for research on sustainable agriculture, technology adoption, agricultural efficiency, resource-use efficiency, environmental performance, farm management, and policy evaluation. It may also support comparative studies, methodological development in Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), logistic regression, and multidimensional sustainability assessment.
