The Waxholm Corpus was collected between 1993 and 1994 at the Department of Speech, Hearing and Music (TMH) of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden. This corpus includes speech signal files (with the .smp extension) and annotation files (with the .mix extension). The speech signal files contain 16-bit quantized speech signals with a sampling rate of 16 kHz, while the annotation files contain phonetic, phonemic and word-level annotations of the speech. The generation process of the annotation files includes manual input of orthographic text, rule-based text-to-phoneme conversion, automatic alignment procedures, and manual correction.
