Genome sequencing of vector-borne viruses to understand genetic diversity and evolutionary dynamics.

Vector-borne viral diseases are a major public health concern causing multiple human illnesses around the world. This bioproject aims to utilize Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) techniques to sequence and analyze viruses derived from vectors such as mosquitoes, fleas, lice and arachnids. In collaboration with various groups, JCVI plans to study the sequence diversity and evolutionary dynamics of viruses in various arthropod vectors.
