Jiryes Farhat to Suleiman Farhat and Katrina Sa'ade, 12 February 1933

The images are a digital reproduction of a handwritten letter and accompanying translation donated by Kathy Sa'ade Kenny. In this letter Jiryes Farhat writes warmly to his son Suleiman and his wife Katrina responding to their decision to move Katrina Sa'ade and their children to the Farhat family home in Ramallah, Palestine. Jiryes acknowledges Katrina's reservations and paints Ramallah in a positive and metropolitan light as 'the bride of Palestine.' He describes how he and Miriam, his wife, look forward to meeting Suleiman's family and making them welcome in Ramallah. Issa Farhat scribes.
