This series contains ledger entries for fees paid for Solicitor and Bar Examinations, to and from, the Solicitors and Barristers Admission Boards.Each type of examination was recorded separately in the ledger. The information for each exam was recorded on a double page and included: date; from whom received or to whom paid; and amount. Duty stamps for fees paid are pasted into the volumes.The ledgers contain an index to each type of exam.Volumes 2 and 3 of the series also contains loose papers which are receipts relating to the conduct of exams.
