Digital Archive from Archaeological Mitigation Works at the Former Hondo Supermarket, Upper Duke Street, Liverpool, 2024-2025

This collection comprises site images (including images of skeletal human remains), site records, and reports from an archaeological watching brief and previous archaeological mitigation works at the Former Hondo Supermarket, Upper Duke Street, Liverpool. The works were conducted by Wardell Armstrong between April 2024 and August 2025. The watching brief followed an extensive programme of archaeological investigation on the site, in which c.200 individuals were recovered, including a charnel pit. The watching brief recovered a further c.50 individuals plus another charnel pit.
