WOMBAT v2.S estimates of global GPP, respiration, and air–sea fluxes

These files contain estimates of global CO2 fluxes, separated into GPP, respiration, and ocean (air–sea) components produced by the WOMBAT v2.S flux-inversion system (see the corresponding preprint at https://arxiv.org/abs/2503.09065v1). These fluxes are further decomposed into trend and seasonality. The file "WOMBAT_v2S_CO2_gridded_climatology_samples.nc4" contains the estimated spatial fields for each beta coefficient in the paper. These define the trend and seasonality of the fluxes. Bottom-up estimates are provided for each beta coefficient field, as well as samples from the posterior distribution. The file "WOMBAT_v2S_CO2_gridded_flux_samples.nc4" contains bottom-up estimates and posterior samples for the flux component fields. These are separated into components and into terms in the time-series decomposition. The different fields can be summed to obtain meaningful quantities, such as NEE (sum of all GPP and respiration terms), or the net flux (sum of all terms). Additionally, samples from the posterior distribution of the model parameters are available in the file "samples-LNLGISSIF.rds" for the real-data inversion, and in the archive "osse-samples.zip" for each of the 16 OSSE inversions.
