Panchgavya is a blend of five ingredients obtained from cows and used in traditional Hindu rituals. It consists of ghee, milk, curd, cow dung, and cow urine. The preparation of Panchgavya is a microbially mediated process that likely involves microbial succession. Three-hour-old Panchgavya and fecal samples were collected before and after treatment from a patient to analyze the microbial community using 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
