Metagenomic sequencing of ticks collected from livestock and wildlife in Uganda. Ugandan tick virome

Ugandan ticks were collected from livestock in farms and abattoirs, and from wildlife in national parks. These ticks were morphologically identified prior to metagenomic sequencing. RNA from one tick was (Cw-024) wss sequenced directly using the Nanopore MinION sequencing device. Additional ticks were pooled according to species, host and location for Illumina metagenomic sequencing following ribosomal RNA depletion.
