This dataset is based on "Culture and Mass Media Survey 2012", conducted by Statistics Norway. In addition to the quarterly media surveys that Statistics Norway conducts, this data set also includes as a separate cultural section. Culture and Mass Media surveys have been conducted in 1991, 1994, 1997, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012. As stated in the documentation report, "The purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive presentation of the Norwegians' use of different types of mass media and cultural facilities and the supply of entertainment." The survey conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, with financial support of the Norwegian Media Authority. The sample of the study consits of people i Norway between 9-79 years of age.
