This study explores the effect of WNT5A signaling on the vascular redox state in obesity. Overall design: VSMCs isolated from five unrelated patients were incubated with Wnt5a or Polyethylene glycol-conjugated superoxide dismutase (PEG-SOD) or both. We generated the following pairwise comparisons using Affymetrix Transcritome Analysis Console (TAC 4.0): WNT5A vs untreated-control; PEG-SOD vs untreated-control; WNT5A/PEG-SOD combination vs untreated-control.
