The study was performed to analyze the overlapping of genome sequences in Streptococcus pneumonia Hu17 and Influenza (H1N1) virus against human genome - Homo sapiens Hg38 sequences by BLASTn sequence analysis. Several hits or overlapping nucleotide segments were identified. Between Streptococcus pneumonia Hu17 and Homo sapiens hg38, 287 overlaps were identified, and among influenza H1N1 and Homo sapiens hg38, 124 hits were identified. The corresponding genes associated with the overlapping segments were further analyzed for functional enrichment annotations through the database for annotation, visualisation and integrated discovery (DAVID) software. A wide range of functional significance of these genes was identified, and the results are presented. The results show insights into functional biological activities associated with the respective vaccinations or infections by these microorganisms. <br>
