BLAST Streptococcus Pneumonia strain Hu17 against Homo sapiens hg38

<strong>Introduction</strong> The study was performed to identify the hits of streptococcus pneumonia genome against human genome hg38. In this analysis we reported the hits of Streptococcus Pneumonia strain Hu17 on Homo sapiens hg38 using blatsn. <strong>Methods</strong><br> <strong>Streptococcus Pneumonia strain Hu17 genome</strong> The genome sequence of Streptococcus Pneumonia strain Hu17 (2009 california) were down- loaded from NCBI (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/data-hub/taxonomy/641809/). <strong>Blast analysis</strong> The Streptococcus Pneumonia strain Hu17 genome sequences were compared against of Homo sapiens hg38 downloaded from NCBI (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/assembly/GCF_00000 1405.26/) with blastn tools (2.13.0+) on a linux server, respectively. <strong>Results retrieving and sorting</strong> The hits/alignments on genome of Homo sapiens hg38 reported by the blast analysis were retrieved with customized python scripts. The regions of hits were annotatated with gene information of both Streptococcus Pneumonia strain Hu17 and Homo sapiens hg38.
