Nationwide Daily 1KM Land Surface Temperature Product with Complete Coverage in China

This dataset employs an innovative reconstruction framework that integrates a "temporal stepwise approximation mechanism." Based on daytime thermal infrared land surface temperature (LST) products from the MODIS Terra/Aqua satellites, it generates a seamless daily 1 km resolution LST product with continuous spatial coverage across China for the year 2024. By integrating multi-scale temporal background information and spatial auxiliary factors, the framework effectively addresses the issue of large-scale data gaps caused by cloud cover, significantly enhancing the spatiotemporal completeness and physical consistency of the product. Accuracy validation demonstrates that the reconstructed results are in strong agreement with ground-based meteorological station observations (NCEI TMP) (R=0.90, RMSE=6.32 K), with no significant degradation in accuracy observed even in cloud-covered regions. This makes the dataset reliable for supporting scientific applications such as regional thermal environment analysis and extreme high-temperature event monitoring.
