16s rDNA sequencing of Lactobacillus intervention in mice model

Infertility is a global public health concern. Growing evidence implicates environmental toxicants, including inorganic arsenic (iAs), in reproductive toxicity affecting both females and males; however, the underlying mechanisms remain to be elucidated. Recent studies have highlighted the link between gut microbiota dysbiosis and infertility. Given the known potent effects of iAs on gut microbiota, we thus established an iAs-induced male reproductive toxicity rat model combined with fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) to examine the role of gut microbiota dysbiosis in iAs-induced reproductive damage and to identify key bacterial mediators. Furthermore, we investigated and validated the underlying mechanism using a single-bacterial intervention in a mouse model exposed to arsenic.
