Spatiotemporal distribution dataset of aquaculture ponds and salt pans along the Jiangsu coast, China, 1985–2025

This dataset contains annual raster maps of aquaculture ponds and salt pans along the Jiangsu coast, China, for nine target years: 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020, and 2025. The dataset was generated from Landsat imagery on the Google Earth Engine platform. Each GeoTIFF file represents one target year. Pixel values are coded as follows:0 = other land-cover types1 = aquaculture ponds2 = salt pans The coordinate reference system of the raster files is EPSG:32651 (WGS 84 / UTM zone 51N). The dataset supports the analysis of long-term changes, spatial heterogeneity, and transitions between aquaculture ponds and salt pans along the Jiangsu coast.
