资源简介:
This data set contains 67 quantitative plant-pollinator networks consisting of 268 observational hours and 4380 plant-pollinator interactions, which were recorded along a 3.4 km elevational gradient at Mt. Kilimanjaro (Tanzania). The data set was analysed in Classen et al. (accepted; Status: 09.01.2020). Ecology and Evolution. Details on how the data were sampled are given in this publication. In a nutshell, only interactions between plants and insect pollinators (specifically: wild bees, non-bee aculeate wasps, symphyta, syrphid flies) are included. Each network consists of a minimum of 5 interactions (in most cases much more). One network contains the recordings of a 4-hour variable transect walk on a specific plot (study site). We recorded all events in which an insect pollinator touched the reproductive parts of a flower. Most of the pollinators were caught with sweep nets and identified to species or morpho species level by well-trained taxonomists. Involved plant species were identified to species level in most cases (unidentified species are marked as such). Each plot was visited up to 7 times.
