PSI/Central Asia's program targeting rural women of reproductive age combines outreach peer education, personal communications delivered by trained peer educators and opinion leaders with a strategy of broad social marketing (SM) coverage, to increase access to family planning services and to increase the availability of modern contraceptive methods such as condoms, oral contraceptives, and intrauterine devices (IUD).
