1H-NMR based metabolomics technology identifies potential serum biomarkers of colorectal cancer lung metastasis in a mouse model

Lung metastasis is a common site of metastasis that reduces the quality of life and survival rates of colorectal cancer patients. The identification of potential diagnostic biomarkers is of great significance to treating lung metastasis in colorectal cancer. In the present study, the metabonomic profiling of serum samples of lung metastasis mice was carried out by using 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR). The changes in metabolic phenotypes during the progression of lung metastasis of colorectal cancer were noticeable, and some metabolites were identified.
