An experiment diet and short-term flavor change on gut microbiota

This projects aims to explore the effects of diet and flavor change on gut microbiota. A family of three members (Father, Mather and Daughter) was recruited and were reared on a designed experimental diet for eight weeks and the diet was cooked with salty, sour, sweet and hot flavor in the second, fourth, sixth and eighth weeks respectively and each flavor treatment was separated by one weeks washout. Fecal samples were collected before and during experimental diet and flavor treatments. The fecal microbiota was analyzed by 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
