Teacher Education Academic Achievement Dataset (2019–2024)

Title: Teacher Education Academic Achievement Dataset: Face-to-Face, Crisis-Period, and Planned Distance Education (2019–2024) This dataset contains anonymized academic achievement records of 1,350 students enrolled in teacher education programs at a public university in Türkiye between 2019 and 2024. The data were obtained from institutional academic records and relate to the Classroom Management course. The dataset was compiled to investigate the relationship between educational contexts, individual characteristics, and academic achievement in teacher education. Four educational contexts are represented: (1) face-to-face education, (2) planned distance education within pedagogical formation programs, (3) emergency remote teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic, and (4) emergency remote teaching during the earthquake period. The dataset includes variables representing educational context, gender, nationality, and academic achievement. Academic achievement was evaluated using institutional course assessment records, with a passing threshold of 55 points. The data support comparative statistical analyses, including chi-square tests, binary logistic regression, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, to examine differences in academic achievement and the predictive performance of educational context and individual characteristics. The dataset is provided in IBM SPSS Statistics (.sav) format to facilitate reproducibility, secondary analysis, and further research on educational outcomes across different instructional contexts. The dataset is intended for academic research and educational policy development, particularly in teacher education, distance learning, and emergency remote teaching.
