Minutes of Meeting: Permanent UNIMARC Committee, 18 March 2025

The PUC Business Meeting took place on 18 March 2025 during the IFLA Advisory Committee on Standards Symposium in Athens (hybrid format). Discussions focused on maintaining and updating the UNIMARC formats and manuals, dissemination strategies, and ongoing harmonization projects with ISBDM and IFLA Namespaces. Progress in 2024 was reviewed, including proposals, manual versions, and user engagement. Strategic planning for the "Future of UNIMARC" project was initiated, aiming at a roadmap and position paper on the evolution of UNIMARC within entity-based cataloguing.
