Investigation of Plasmodium Kinesin 8B

This study demonstrated the essential role of kinesin-8B in axoneme and flagellum formation in the male gamete of mouse malaria parasite Plasmodium berghei. RNA-seq was done on a parasite line with kinesin-8B deleted, and revealed differential expression of genes involved in microtubule function in this line.
