The Configuration of the Eyes Affects the Detection Advantage of Direct Gaze

The current study used the visual search task (Dunn et al., 2018) to investigate whether the direct-gaze advantage in capturing attention depends on a specific configuration (face configuration or eyes configuration) in two experiments. In the experiment, participants were presented with four images and asked to judge whether there was a target with a direct or averted gaze.
