The RETRACE-3D geological model of the central Apennines (area affected by the 2016-2018 seismic sequence) consists of stratigraphic boundaries of geological units with homogeneous behavior and main faults of the area. This dataset is derived from the RETRACE-3D geological 3D model, it includes the 3D geometries of six stratigraphic boundaries (pre-Triassic - Miocene) and of geometries of 47 faults pertaining to different fault systems. The horizons are described through the following semantically harmonized attributes: type_contact, age_min, age_max, evaluation_method, observation_method; the geologic units above and below each geometry are also indicated. The faults are described with mean geometric attributes, boolean attributes (active_fault, seismogenic_fault, capable_fault) and the semantically harmonized attributes: type_fault, evaluation_method, observation_method. This harmonization is based on the outcomes of the GO-PEG European project. The finalization of the harmonization process have been realized within the MEET project [funded by European Union - National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) - Mission 4, “Education and Research” - Component 2, “From Research to Business” – Investment Line 3.1, “Fund for the creation of an integrated system of research and innovation infrastructures” - Project Code IR0000025 - MEET].
