SNCF publishes its methodology for calculating the amount of greenhouse gases (GHG) emitted during a transport service, in accordance with Article L1431.3 of the Transport Code. This methodological note indicates the CO2e emission values in force for each of the rail passenger activities in France and the values of the other modes of transport (road, air) for comparison. The current version was updated in August 2023.
