Immaginazione e modificazioni corporee nel pensiero di G.C. Vanini

This paper considers the argumentation developed by Vanini, widely in his works, on the power of imagination understood, on the cognitive level, no more as aristotelian capability intermediate between sense and intellect, but as capability essentially active, capable of determining change on bodies. Particularly, this work underlines Vanini's intent to bring back a naturalistic explanation of all the extraordinary and unusual phenomena to the imagination operating power of acting on and modifying the corporeal reality.
