Have you ever wondered how to engage and interact with learners in pre-recorded asynchronous lectures? Here, the authors share strategies they used to reverse-engineer one of their asynchronous lectures using the “Backward Design” approach. Afterwards, they added interactive activities created with the H5P plug-in, a virtual teaching technology that provides instant feedback to learners. As a result, students became active participants in the learning process instead of remaining passive recipients.
