Transcriptome analysis of germ-free zebrafish larvae mono-colonized with Bacillus velezensis GFZF-23

This study characterizes the transcriptional responses of germ-free zebrafish (Danio rerio) larvae to mono-colonization with Bacillus velezensis GFZF-23. A total of 8 whole-body larval samples were collected from two groups (n=4 per group): germ-free control group (GF) and B. velezensis GFZF-23 mono-colonized group (B). RNA-seq was performed to identify differentially expressed genes and elucidate the host transcriptional changes induced by single bacterial colonization in the absence of complex microbial communities. This gnotobiotic zebrafish model provides insights into host-microbe interactions under controlled conditions.
