RNA-seq analysis of adult skeletal muscles of Vgll2 knockout mice

Vgll2 is one of the members of the Vestigial-like factors and contributes to normal muscle fiber type distribution. Knockout mice of Vgll2 gene shows an increased number of fast-twitch type IIb fibers. Vgll2 is also essential for functional adaptations of skeletal muscle induced by chronic overload. To reveal the downstream genes of Vgll2, we investigated the transcriptome profiles of skeletal muscle tissues of Vgll2 knockout mice in chronic overload-inducing skeletal muscle adaptations.
